How We Chose the Name

Choosing the perfect name for this blog was its own kind of adventure. We wanted something that reflected our love for exploration, our deep connection to that iconic VW bus, and the electric, free-spirited vibe of San Francisco. We cruised through some groovy name ideas along the way:

Seal the Love: Inspired by those playful sea lions lounging at Pier 39, this name gave a nod to one of San Francisco’s most beloved sights.
The Grizzly Gazette: A tribute to the mighty California Grizzly Bear on the state flag, symbolizing the bold, wild spirit of the Golden State.
The California Star: A shout out to San Francisco’s first newspaper, which hit the streets back in 1847, lighting the way for the city’s pioneering roots.

But when we landed on Love Bus Chronicles, it just felt right. It captures our passion for storytelling, our connection to the VW bus lifestyle, and—let’s be honest—a little nod to The San Francisco Chronicle, the biggest newspaper in Northern California. With its rich history and journalistic groove, the Chronicle inspired us to create a space where our own stories could shine.
