The Beatnik Guide with a Hippie Heart
Meet Kristina Carozza, Our Newest Guide at San Francisco Love Tours!
San Francisco Love Tours is thrilled to introduce Kristina Carozza, a true wanderer at heart who’s driven by the spirit of adventure, a passion for music, and a deep love for San Francisco’s unique history. If you’re a fan of road trips, hippie rock, and fascinating stories, Kristina might just be your new favorite guide.Kristina was born in York, Pennsylvania, but life took her on a long, winding journey from the forests of Pennsylvania to Seattle’s music scene and now, finally, to San Francisco. After hopping around the country, she fell in love with the Bay Area during a memorable road trip in her trusty (and temperamental) ’68 VW bus, nicknamed *Loose Lucy* for her famously loose bolts. On her journey, she stopped in San Francisco for what was supposed to be two days…but the city’s magical vibe held her captive for two weeks. Now, she’s back and ready to share her love for the city with you!
Why You’ll Love Touring San Francisco with Kristina
Kristina’s tours are infused with stories, and she can tell you all about San Francisco’s hidden gems, unique culture, and artistic soul. Here’s what she loves most about the city:
The Cultural Diversity: “San Francisco is the ultimate melting pot,” Kristina says. “You can be anyone here, do anything. Walt Disney himself found success in this city after New York doubted him—if that’s not inspiring, I don’t know what is!”
Nature Meets Urban Charm: San Francisco’s the perfect place for nature lovers, with more parks per square mile than most cities. Kristina has her favorite spots (she’ll let you in on them!), and she’ll show you the best hikes, views, and hidden green spaces along the way.
Food, Food, Food: Kristina’s a foodie, and she loves exploring San Francisco’s endless culinary options, from Haight-Ashbury’s cafés to North Beach’s jazz clubs. She’s got a whole list of must-visit spots, so come hungry!
The Beatnik Guide with a Hippie HeartKristina’s a dedicated Deadhead and Beat Generation aficionado, drawing inspiration from icons like Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, and of course, the Grateful Dead. She has a deep respect for the local music scene and finds her groove in the city’s live music venues, from The Fillmore to the Great American Music Hall. For Kristina, nothing beats cruising around the city with a soundtrack of the Dead playing in the background.
When She’s Not Guiding You…
If time travel existed, Kristina would take you straight back to 1967—the Summer of Love. Her heart lives in the era of the Beat poets and free-spirited hippies, and she’s fascinated by that period’s free-spirited, counter-culture ethos. She’s passionate about bringing a little piece of that history to every tour, making each stop feel like a portal to the past.
Touring with Kristina: “Hit the Hippie Jackpot”
Kristina says she “hit the hippie jackpot” with this role, because it’s everything she loves in one job. “It’s way too much fun to call this work!” she laughs. She’s spent countless hours learning every corner of the city, and her love for the job is so contagious that friends and family say she never stops talking about it.
Join Kristina on a San Francisco Love Tour and let her take you on a journey filled with music, history, and good vibes. Whether you’re a Deadhead, a history buff, or just a curious traveler, Kristina’s the guide who’ll make your trip unforgettable!
